Wallington P.S. Newsletter

Term 3 - Week 1 - 2023

Principal News

Dear Families

What a wonderful first week of term!

I have been so impressed and grateful for how warm, welcoming, and excited our students and parents have been throughout the week. To see your bright, smiling and eager faces peering through the windows of your car, followed by your warm greetings are a great indication of how you, and particularly our students, feel about coming to school. As I have visited classrooms throughout the week, spent time in our School Garden and met with staff and families, it has become clear to see why this is the case: Wallington Primary School is a very special place to learn and grow.

I would also like to share recognition of our wonderful staff who demonstrate outstanding teamwork and support for our students and each other, each day. There is simply no stone left unturned and they have responded admirably to a shift in leadership, whilst never wavering in their intent to keep students’ learning and wellbeing at the heart and centre of all we do.

No school or person is perfect, and yet it is obvious that we have all the ingredients as a collective whole to continue to make a significant impact on the lives and learning of our students, and each other. I look forward to meeting and working with many more of you over coming weeks to continue to support you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself if you see me around the school or make a time to meet with me at any stage.

I hope to see many of you at our School Assembly tomorrow afternoon and would like to wish everyone a relaxing weekend and fabulous week ahead.

Go Cats!

Warm regards

Carmen Britnell
