Wallington P.S. Newsletter

Term 1 - Week 4 - 2024

Principal News

Dear Families,

It was so lovely to see so many parents taking the opportunity to come and meet the teachers this week as part of our Meet and Greet Parent-Teacher Interviews. We know that establishing strong positive home-school working relationships has a significant impact on the success of each student so we could not be happier with the enthusiasm and support shown by all those who took part. We are continually looking at ways to improve communication and to support positive and sustained home-school relationships.

This week the 2023 School Council met for the final time. It was a pleasure to meet the members and I thank them all for their contributions as part of their 2023 tenure. As you may be aware, nominations for new members were sent out earlier this week through Sentral for anyone wishing to put themselves forward for the 2024 School Council.

Other ways to support the school community include getting involved with the Parents & Friends, whether as a member helping plan and run events, or simply supporting the numerous fundraising efforts throughout the year. The P & F have big plans aiming to raise money and bring the community together, so stay tuned for some exciting events to come.

Please note, there will be no assembly tomorrow as many of our Student Leaders will be offsite and may not return in time for assembly.
