Principal News

Dear Families,

BUNYIP CAMP

What a joy it was to be part of last week’s successful Bunyip Camp and overnight stay! It was a privilege to witness firsthand the enthusiasm and community spirit displayed by our staff, students, and parent volunteers as well as the resilience and bravery of the students in taking part in the activities, staying over at school and, most of all, meeting the Bunyip! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for making this experience so memorable and enjoyable for all.

CONFIRMED STUDENT-FREE DATES TERM 3 & 4:

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Thank you to all of our dedicated staff and parents/carers for making yesterday’s Parent-Teacher interviews a resounding success. Your commitment to our students' education and development was clearly evident throughout the process.

I am grateful for the efforts of our hardworking staff who diligently prepared for and conducted these meetings with professionalism and care. Your dedication to providing meaningful feedback and guidance to parents is truly commendable. I also extend my appreciation to parents/carers for your proactive involvement and commitment to your children's education. Your support and partnership are fundamental in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment at Wallington PS.

JUNIOR SCHOOL COUNCIL – CASUAL CLOTHES DAY TOMORROW

Just a reminder, the Junior School Council is running a casual clothes day fundraiser tomorrow (Friday 28th June) the last day of term. Please remember that this is a coin donation as they raise money to buy items that classes have requested, including netballs, basketballs, chook scrap bins and new recycling bins.

LAST DAY OF TERM TOMORROW – EARLY FINISH & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Tomorrow is the final day of the term and school will be finishing at 2:20pm. I would like to wish everyone a safe and restful break. This is a time to recharge and spend quality moments with family and friends. I look forward to welcoming all our staff, students and families back on Monday, 15th July, for the start of Term 3. Until then, enjoy a well-deserved break. Take care and stay safe.

A wonderful community member, Sandra Gould donated $100 to our Visual Arts program. This kind offering will be put towards art supplies for the Prep to Year 6 classes next term. Thank you so much Sandra!

Bunyip Camp

What an amazing Bunyip Camp on Friday! The students had a fantastic time with all the activities. It was great to see all students with a smile on their face, enjoying all the things that Camp has to offer. A huge ‘Thank you’ to Mrs. Belsar for giving up her time to help at Bunyip camp and to all the parent helpers, assisting with activities and food preparation to ensure the camp ran smoothly. There were some very tired children and staff when they went home on Saturday.
