Principal News

Friday 17th September - Last Day of School

Tomorrow we have decided to have a bit of fun and the students can come dressed up in their footy colours! There will be no charge or donation required

2:30pm Finish

Dear Parents/Carers,

What a term we have all experienced. We are thankful that we were able to complete all our camps successfully, and that more importantly, the children were able to enjoy a great time at them. The shift in and out of remote learning has been as smooth as it could possibly be, and I continue to be blown away by how resilient the children have been each time.

Prep-2

What a return from our Prep-Two students and people! No fuss, just back into it from Friday last week for our final push towards the end of this term. Well done and congrats on settling back in so well. Have a great holiday and I cross my fingers we all come back next term. Thanks to the staff for their work to make these transitions as smooth as possible too.

Term 4

During the holidays I am sure there will be another lot of announcements to clarify Victoria’s restrictions and what school will look like in Term 4. Please be patient after these announcements take place and I will communicate accordingly during the second week of the holidays as the Department of Education and Training updates schools.

I sincerely hope you all have a great break, pop the screens down for a while, enjoy the sunshine, beach, mountains or if you are up around the school, keep an eye on it and make sure others are respectfully using our environment.

Take care everyone.

PICK MY PROJECT – CALLING ALLL WALLINGTON PS STUDENTS

Parents and Friends are calling on all students to take part in this exciting P&F project.  We would like to hear what the students think would be a valuable addition to the school.  The budget is up to $1500.  To take part, please complete a “Pick my Project” which can be found on your google classroom or by clicking on this link - Pick My Project Form.  The form must include an image and/or weblink to the item showing it is within the $1500 budget.
Submission forms can be returned to the drawer opposite the office once onsite learning resumes and the P&F will review the submissions next term.

MANGOES

Next term we will be having our popular annual mango drive!  Unfortunately the mango supplier has had crop failure this year which will change our fundraiser slightly.  Trays this year will be 4.5kg (usually 7kg) but they will sold at a revised price of $20 per tray.  We are also limited to the amount of trays we can order, so once orders open (7th October), it is advised you get your order in early to avoid disappointment.
More details will go home the first week of next term and will also be posted on the Wallington Parents and Friends Facebook Page.

NEXT MEETING

The next P&F Meeting will be on Friday 8th October – details to be advised.

Community Spirit

We are very proud of Jasper and Fisher who collected bags of rubbish on their local beach recently.  They are both fans of Sea Shepherd, an organisation which conserves and protects our oceans and marine wildlife.  Well done Jasper and Fisher.
