Term 3 - Week 10 - 2022

Principal News

What a busy and productive term 3 we’ve had at Wallington PS! Our staff and students have all worked hard this term and have been able to enjoy camps, incursions, excursions, and performances. I would like to congratulate everyone for the effort and enthusiasm they have shown towards their learning this term, and wish you all a safe and relaxing break these holidays!

Calendar Dates
Wednesday 19th October - Geelong Cup Public Holiday
Friday 28th October - Pupil Free Day

Footy Colours Day
Another successful fundraising day with our students supporting their football teams by wearing their colours. We raised $117.80 which is going towards the Ocean Grove Disabled Surfers Association.

Last Day of Term 3
Just a reminder that school will be dismissed at 2:30pm this Friday, following assembly at 2:00pm on the basketball court. The choir will be performing at this assembly.

Term 4 Reminder
Hats MUST be worn next term and all students have been given a reminder that if they do not have a hat they will be required to move to the shaded area outside the staff room. Our policy is NO HAT – NO PLAY! Hats are available at the office for purchase for $15.

Local Sporting Heroes
There are a number of students at WPS who are involved in a variety of sports outside of school including footy, soccer, netball, golf, gymnastics, horse-riding, the list goes on. If your child is lucky enough to be playing in a final of some sort over the holidays, we would like to wish them all the best and encourage them to show the Wallington spirit of good sportsmanship and resilience!

Enjoy the holidays!

Year 3/4s - 3D Beetle Collages

Throughout this activity we applied many different skills in creating a 3D beetle (using pattern/colour/symmetry) and making a leaf using a rubbing technique, patterns with pastels and mounting it on cardboard to prop it up over the black border. These have taken ages to finish but don't they look great! Well done 3/4s!
