Parent Information Nights

Next week we have parent information nights for students in Grade 1-6. These are a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, see their classroom and get an outline of what the Unit teams expect of the students.

  • Monday 13th Feb 5pm - Grade 5/6
  • Tuesday 14th Feb 5pm - Grade 1/2
  • Wednesday 15th Feb 5pm - Grade 3/4

It is also a good time to make an appointment for a longer chat with your child’s teacher if you feel this is necessary. All info nights will be held in one of the year level classrooms.

Playground Supervision

Each morning from 8.45am-9am, staff are assigned yard duty supervision and again from 3.20pm-3.35pm. Please be aware that if your children are in the grounds outside these times, staff will not be on duty.

Book Packs/Dairies

Book packs have been delivered to school for most of the students that have ordered the packs. We have some delays on a couple of items that should be delivered soon.  We are waiting on our diaries, and these will be given to students when delivered in the coming weeks.

Friday 10th February @ 2:50pm, outdoors on the oval outside the hall (weather permitting). All welcome.

Friday 10th February               P&F AGM School Hall 9am

Wallington Primary School’s Parents and Friends Committee invites parents, guardians and friends to join us in 2023.  Members of P&F have the wonderful opportunity to participate in many fun-filled events throughout the year.  We work collaboratively with teachers and staff, to highlight the needs of and add value to the school.  Every member has the opportunity to express their ideas and feedback and get to experience the joy of seeing the very happy faces of the students.

Our AGM will be held on Friday 10th February 9am in the hall.

All positions will be declared open for the 2023 committee.  We would love to see some fresh faces consider being a grade rep or take up another role on the committee.  Most of our positions have no obligation to attend regular meetings.  If you cannot attend the AGM but would like to consider a role, please contact us.  We look forward to welcoming you in 2023.

Hello Parents/Guardians,

Art this year has started with a bang and we are already seeing some wonderful creations and looking at amazing Master Artists, such as Pablo Picasso, artists that work with paper like Henri Matisse, as well as artists who work with plasticine to create characters like Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.

Below are some wonderful samples of the Year 5/6's Paper Sculpting.

Thank you,

Mrs Ractliffe
