Prep 2024 Enrolments

If you have a child currently attending 4-year-old kindergarten and are looking to enrol them for Prep 2024, please complete the enrolment forms which are available from the General Office or by CLICKING HERE.  Should you (or anyone that you know) be interested in doing a school tour, all you need to do is contact the school.

2023 Attitudes to School Survey – Last opportunity to contact school

The annual Attitudes to School Survey will be open at our school between 8th May – 9th June.  Only students in Years 4, 5 and 6 participate.  The survey allows the opportunity for students to voice their opinion on our school.  It will help us to improve student engagement, wellbeing and quality of instruction.  The survey really finds out what our students think about our school.  If you do not want your child to participate in this survey, please email our school at wallington.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Art Gallery

SNAPSHOT:

"This Term the 5/6‘s have been exploring the world of Vincent van Gogh’s "Sunflowers" in Art.

Vincent Van Gogh (born 1853, died 1890) is probably one of the most well known and influential Impressionist artists of the 19th century.

Sunflowers is the title of two series of still life paintings by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. The first series, executed in Paris in 1887, depicts the flowers lying on the ground, while the second set, made a year later in Arles, shows a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase.

Students explored the use of pastels and how they can be used to create a variety of lines and textural effects. They learnt about Van Gogh and other Master Artists, such as Emil Nolde and Diego Rivera, and were inspired to design their own vase of sunflowers. They explored how Vincent used bright unusual colours to paint portraits, flowers, and landscapes and how the bright colours and large shapes attracts the viewer’s attention."
