Principal's Report
Dear Families,
Bunyip Camp
Prep, 1s and 2s are incredibly excited to take part in our annual Bunyip Camp tomorrow! We are all looking forward to a day and night of fun with lots of activities planned – not least the chance to meet the Bunyip as it makes its way up from Lake Connewarre to our lovely new extension. Can I say a huge thank you to both parent volunteers and staff who will support the camp, helping to ensure that it is yet again a great success!
Please note: there will be no assembly tomorrow.
Parent Opinion Survey – Now Open
Thank you to those parents who have already completed this year’s Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey. If you haven’t yet completed the short survey, please refer to the unique log in information available on your Compass Newsfeed (18/08/25). The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be open until Friday 19 September 2025. The survey is online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Calling Strawberry Fair Volunteers!
As you know, the Strawberry Fair volunteer sign-up is also open, and we need all of your help to make it a success! We understand that people have different availability and commitments and we are so appreciative of all offers of help – both on the day and in the lead-up. This support is especially important in achieving one of the key aims of the fair: to connect and unite us as a school community, demonstrating the values that underpin our love of this school. We know that community and connection are a key reason families choose and love our school – it’s events like this where we can all thrive in this reality.
Please continue to sign up for as many spots as you can – every extra pair of hands makes a huge difference. Sign-up is quick and easy through 'Sign-up' at this link: https://signup.com/go/jkYoZjr
Thoughts and Condolences
Finally, our thoughts are with the Christian College Geelong community following the tragic bus crash in Stonehaven yesterday. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected, and we acknowledge the efforts of first responders and emergency services who provided care at the scene.
We recognise that such news can be distressing for young people. Should you feel your child would benefit from wellbeing support, please contact the school by calling or by emailing our wellbeing team (wellbeing@wallington-ps.vic.edu.au) and we will arrange appropriate assistance.

Wellbeing at Wallington
Welcome back to Wallington’s weekly wellbeing activities!
I
In the student diary this week, students get to create a dance or rhythm break.
They may have used movement breaks in class as brain breaks but if you’re feeling stuck try searching ‘desktop drumming challenge’ or putting on your favourite song for inspiration.
