Principal's Report

Dear Families,

P&F Colour Run & Mango Fundraiser

What an awesome afternoon at the Colour Run last Friday! The weather was perfect and all students and staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to the P&F for organising the event and for all parent helpers on the day!

Thank you also to the P&F for organising the mango fundraiser – many families and staff have been enjoying the boxes and boxes of mangoes, always a lovely signal that summer is here!

Prep – Year 3 Athletics

Well done to all Prep, 1, 2 and 3 students who represented their houses in the athletics event this morning! Thank you to the amazing Year 6s (and a few additional Year 5s, who stepped in to help) – these school leaders were fantastic in leading the events. All leaders and competitors involved demonstrated our school values of respect, responsibility and resilience across the morning. Thank you also to Mrs Parsons for organising the event and to the staff and parents for helping and supporting. Congratulations to all competitors! Congratulations also to the Year 6s who were big winners in the Staff v Student tug-of-war! See photos and more information in the PE section below.

End of Year Family Picnic – Tomorrow 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Don’t forget the end of year family picnic is happening tomorrow, straight after school! Here is the plan for the event:

  • 3:30pm – Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country (Wathaurong Cultural Centre)

  • 3:40pm – 2026 Teacher introductions

  • 3:45pm – Meet the teacher, picnic and new classrooms (Prep and Year 1) open for viewing

  • 4:10pm – Zooper Doopers handed out by the circle garden, outside prep classroom

  • 4:15pm – CFA arrive and hand out presents

  • 4:30pm – Finish

If touring the new classrooms, please be respectful of the spaces. Students will not be permitted inside without an adult.

Remember, if you would like your child to receive a gift (books only, for consistency and equity), please ensure it is wrapped, clearly named, and dropped in at the front office by 12pm tomorrow.

See you there!

2026 – Book Packs

Ordering for the 2026 Book Packs is now open on the COS website, with instructions sent out through Compass Newsfeed. Remember that to ensure packs arrive in time for Term 1, orders must be submitted by 5th January 2026; packs ordered by this date will be delivered directly to the school for students’ return. Our teachers have thoughtfully curated these packs to include only essential items, keeping costs manageable while ensuring every student has what they need to succeed. Thank you for your support, and please contact the school office if you have any questions.

2026 Classrooms

On Tuesday 9th December, students enjoyed a transition ‘move-up’ morning with their new class teachers in their 2026 classrooms. Teachers and Education Support continue to work collaboratively with each other and with families to ensure students are best set-up and ready for the new year from the first day! Please see the 2026 classroom map below and reach out with any questions, either to your child’s current or 2026 teacher.

  • Year 6 Graduation - Tuesday 6pm

  • Curriculum Day (Student Free Day) - Wednesday

  • Garden Morning Tea - Friday 8:45am

Physical Education

Dear families,

This week the Prep - Year 3’s and Year 6 leaders took part in our Athletics morning. They took part in different rotations which were all focused on fun and participation. The Year 6 leaders did a great job of leading each station and supporting our younger students.

The overall house winner was Blue! Well done to all.

A big thank you to all the parent helpers!
